When the tape drive dies, the HP 3000 shouldn't.
Devices on Demand drops into your SCSI port and emulates every HP-supported tape drive, C1537A, DLT, and LTO, with a virtual tape library that holds hundreds of tapes on a single SD card. Every dead or dying drive on your shelf, replaced by one small box.
- Every HP tape drive, in one box. Emulates the full lineup HP supported, C1537A (DDS), DLT7000, DLT8000, and LTO, so MPE/iX STORE/RESTORE and SLTs, and HP-UX fbackup/frecover, just work.
- A virtual tape library, built in. Hundreds of virtual tapes on a single SD card, the whole tape room, on a chip.
- Backups become files. Every virtual tape is just a file, copy it, archive it, take it home.
- Bus-powered, no cord. The SCSI connection is all it needs. Nothing else to plug in.
- Protocol-accurate. Verified against HP's own driver source, so your host sees a genuine HP drive.
